ChargEdge.^[1] is a privately incorporated, California based company founded in 2016 ^[2], promoting innovative Wireless power transfer, using low-frequency, near-field, magnetic induction and resonance based techniques applied to a unique magnetic structure, controlled by intelligent, adaptive intelligence firmware, also offering backward compatibility to the current Qi standard.

It was founded by the well-known highly-published author in the fields of power conversion and Power over Ethernet, Sanjaya Maniktala^[3][4]. The intellectual property of ChargEdge is backed by well-known patent law firm White & Case.

History

Over the Christmas break in 2012, well before joining IDT in 2013 to formally pursue Wireless power transfer, Sanjaya discovered a unique design methodology for resonant, LLC converters, using "scaling laws hidden in plain sight"^[5][6].

In 2019 he once again recalled and explained that logic at an invited
