He was born as Daren Jay Ashba on November 10, 1972 in Monticello, Indiana.
Nonetheless, it was in Fairbury, Illinois that he was raised alongside his sister, Kari Kaisner. It is also said that he has a brother.
His growth was unsurprisingly dominated by music which was his first love in life.
This is because his mother was a trained pianist and this got him interested in musical instruments, more specifically the drum.
Since he made his first piano recital at the age of five and acquired a drum set at the age of six, he had never looked back on his musical career.
